The Leadership and Management courses are a series of short, enlightening and focused training courses dedicated to helping you and your managers sharpen their leadership skills. They offer three levels of management development to meet the needs of your business. The course programme is delivered across Wales through a network of Welsh Assembly Government quality assured providers, and covers the development needs of team leaders, line managers, middle managers and senior managers. The Leadership and Management courses are based on the National Occupational Standards for Management.

WHAT FUNDING IS AVAILABLE?
The Welsh Assembly Government will subsidise up to 70% of the cost of the courses for businesses with less than 250 employees and up to 50% for larger organisations. Considering the benefits they can bring to the way you run your business they represent excellent value for money and a worthwhile investment in time.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
courses can be accessed by any manager, supervisor or team leader regardless of employer size or sector, but the employer must be based in South East Wales.

Recommended for anyone who is required to carry out supervisions with their staff. The course is designed to develop the skills of the supervisor and looks at coaching and mentoring within the context of supervision in order to maximise people’s effectiveness and progression. |

They will learn the role and skills involved in acting as an effective chairperson, how to use agendas constructively and how to ensure successful outcomes are achieved from meetings. |
